Raise Awareness of Anti-Asian American Discrimination

EastBridge Foundation (EBF) partnered with Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) to raise awareness of anti-Asian American discrimination related to the COVID-19 pandemic. EBF provided support to CPC's Service Learners Program to conduct surveys and interviews of AAPI youths living the New York City metropolitan area on their experience with anti-Asian American bullying and discrimination since the onset of the COVID pandemic. Thirty service learners (high school students) participated in the Voice Your Story Project with a goal to conduct 100 outreach surveys and 20 in-depth interviews of members of the AAPI community from January to June 2021. These interviews were transcribed and published on a dedicated website, an outlet for Asian Americans to share their story, and voice their struggles/concerns with the COVID pandemic.
