EastBridge Foundation Scholarship 2021
Objective

Support the educational goals of underserved Asian or Pacific Islander American students planning to train in the health professions

Up to 5 (five) individual scholarships of $500 (five hundred dollars) each will be awarded. Each scholarship will provide one time support for a single year of education.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria

Self-identify as being of Asian or Pacific Islander descent, as defined by the US Census.

Must qualify and apply for Federal financial aid using FAFSA. Copies of the the final FAFSA Student Aid Report and college financial aid award letter must be submitted if you are selected as one of ten finalists.

Immigrant or child of an immigrant or Pacific Islander, who are also the first generation in their immediate family to attend college

Be committed to attend the first or second year of an accredited, publicly funded, non-profit 2 or 4 year college in the Fall of 2021.

Intend to pursue a certificate or degree program on at least a half-time basis in a health profession

Have or will have a 529 educational financial account if selected as an award recipient
Application Procedure

Complete the online application (see the application link below), and agree to the included terms of participation

Submit an official high school transcript

Submit two essays, each between 250-500 words in length

Essay#1: Tell us what motivates you to want to attend college and pursue a health related career

Essay #2: For 2021, tell us how the COVID 19 pandemic has impacted your educational plans and career choice

Submit your essays (with your name on each) to Scholarship@eastbridgefoundation.org

Participate in an invited virtual interview if you are selected as one of 10 finalists, from which up to 5 awardees will be selected.

If requested, submit copies of your FAFSA student aid report and college financial aid award letters

The EastBridge Foundation will make all award decisions, which are final.

Any award will be deposited directly into the student’s 529 account to be used for educational purposes only.
